Heading over to Discworld for a bit with Pyramids. Finished up Mad Ship finally. Whew! Good book, but it got bogged down in the middle and I kept drifting off to other books.
Picked up Pyramids today, which I plan to start tonight. The humor will be most welcome. Still finishing up Mad Ship. I've about 150 pages to go and am going to try to push to finish this tonight or tomorrow. My "To Be Read" pile keeps telling me I'm taking too long! "For now, lets get you off this windy deck deck and into the captain's sitting room."

I'm over half way through American Psycho now. I still haven't made my mind up about this book. And I know the worst is yet to come. ... She's also written a trilogy called Soldier Son, which I didn't like as ... Still working on American Psycho and Mad Ship. I'm thinking I'll be on Mad Ship for a while, though I'm not quite half way through American Psycho so far. Still working my way through Mad Ship and American Psycho. Had a long week at work, didn't get much reading in. I'm working my way through Robin Hobb's Liveship Traders series. I'm on the second book, Mad Ship. These are the first books I've read by Hobb. It took a little while to get into the first one, but I enjoyed it enough to keep going. I'm reading two books right now.

My next Hobb is the 2nd Tawny Man, so I hope the tradition holds out. ... Paradys didn't even cross my mind, but I'm glad you mentioned that series. I pretty much love anything by her! :) I think The Book of the Mad was my favorite in that quartet.
As far as short story collections go, I usually like the ones by one author (like Stephen King, who's been ... ... some of my favorite fantasy. I bogged down halfway through Royal Assassin along with the body count. I do have the first Mad Ship book which I will give a try one of these days.

I have to finish Mad Ship before it gets here because I know i'll just tear it open and start reading the moment it arrives. I'm carrying around The Mad Ship by Robin Hobb and Tone Sandhi: Patterns across Chinese dialects by Matthew Chen. They came with me on the bus and will be going back the same way. I will hopefully have read through more of the latter by then. I finally picked up Mad Ship, the second in the Liveship Traders trilogy. It's a little long-winded, but has excellent world building and characterizations. Plus pirates. I love me some pirates.
I keep forgetting to read Alice in Wonderland. I have to actually transfer it physically to my TBR ... I finished The Woman in White, which rocked, and now I'm reading Mad Ship, the second in the Liveship Traders trilogy. Not sure why I waited so long to continue with this. Now it's on to Mad Ship, the second in Robin Hobb's Liveship Traders series. This is a BIG book, so I'll probably spend the rest of the week with it.

8. The Devil in the White City - Erik Larson ... I read the 3 Assassin's as well, bought the Mad Ship books and they have sat for 6 years on my shelf not being read. ... not unreasonably priced.
Also, Ship of Magic - Robin Hobb, which was good because a few months back I got hold of The Mad Ship in a charity shop and I did not really want to start a series at book two, yet I wanted to see if I liked the author.
The translated fiction table in Waterst ... I am reaching the end of The Mad Ship by Robin Hobb, the second book of the liveship traders trilogy. I've not read this one in some years - the last time being a Library Book that I've not had access to, and I had forgotten quite how delightful it is.
