Such is the life of Asprin’s demons, short for dimension travelers. Fortunately, the trophy Tanda has decided to steal soon has everyone hopping, and again trying just to stay alive, even though someone else beats her to the theft! To save Tanda’s life, Skeeve’s band must, with the help of a few new friends, win the hideously ugly Big Game’s trophy. The full contact nature of the Big Game is to American football as a contented kitten is to a starving lioness. With some misdirection, magic, minor rule breaking, and as always loyalty to one’s mates, yet another caper is successful. Fans of Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, and Neil Gaiman will feel right at home cavorting with Skeeve’s merry band of misfits. http://home.comcast.net/~ktoonen/summ... What do you get for a wisearse demon magician? This is the problem that Skeeve and Tanda the Trollop have to deal with, and of course it involves a whacky tour all over places-that-are-not-there to try and find something that they think is suitable, and actually get to bring it back. I think there might even be a college football satire in this one. http://notfreesf.blogspot.com/2007/07... Skeeve, Aahz and Tonanda are back again for another adventure around the universe. Light-hearted, fun, and full of clever word play, the story will delight. The audio cassette edition is as poor as the previous two. I know I read this years ago, and seem to recall that it was humorous. There are others in the series, but I don't remember whether or not I read them. no reviews | add a review
