Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was it for me (I was overseas and didn't get to read it until a week after everyone else). But I also really enjoyed My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult this month.

Finishing off the Harry Potter series (The Order of The Phoenix, The Half-Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows) - I haven't read book 7 yet... and I've managed to stay away from any major spoilers so far, too not sure what after that - i think I'll have to go and browse the local library...

I thought it was about time for a new character study thread, and with the release of Deathly Hallows, we learned a lot more about Dumbledore. He's one of my favorite characters, but JKR did a lot of interesting, ah, "retrospective character development" in the final book. So, what are your ...

I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows two days after it was released. On Saturday of this week I got four books in the mail and I just finished the last one, and I read them in this order: Blue Bloods, Feed, The Earth, My Butt, & other BIG Round Things, and finally the perks of being ...

I just read the first one and wasn't really impressed. Maybe I shouldn't have read it directly following Deathly Hallows. Nonetheless, I just felt like the characters were flat and the story was predictable. I wanted to know two things: What others think of the book and whether the series ...

... The deadline is July 31st. I think it's wonderful that they're allowing us a late enough deadline that we can include Deathly Hallows in our book piles. Also, it gives us a better chance at being creative toward the theme of book 7, which we won't fully know till we've read it. Good luck, ...

#9 xorscape: No. It was a different article. (Nice subtitle on that article, btw.) It featured a deluxe Deathly Hallows cover to the right side of the article. Personally, if a hacker gives away real things from book 7, I don't expect JKR to say, 'Yep, that's it everyone.' I think others ...

Yesterday, I went to Barnes and Noble to preorder a deluxe copy of Deathly Hallows. Kind of late, but I don't make much from work, and knew I could better afford it at this time. B&N turned me away, saying they can no longer take preorders of the deluxe copy. Upset, I went to my second choice ...

... The Half-Blooded Prince so I'm glad that I'm not the only one who felt the need for a re-read of some HP before The Deathly Hallows appears!

... ones in the middle now! I'm also collecting the Chalet School books rather a lot lately and am waiting impatiently for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Do I qualify for this group? :-)

I'm almost always re-reading one of the HP books. Right now it is The Goblet of Fire, which will probably occupy me until Deathly Hallows is released. Just finished re-reading Prisoner of Azkaban.

Another important part of book 6, I feel, is that JKR has said that she feels Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows are one and the same book, just different parts to it. #198 missmaddie: Thanks for replying to that. :) About Aberforth, I feel I either agree that he'll have an important ...

I've been wondering what book everyone's in for their rereading for this summer's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows release. A poll on who people think will die in Deathly Hallows? Should I list names of characters who I think will kick the bucket? I'll bet you can guess the number one name! :) Edited: Or do you want to know specifically about Snape? . . . I can't decide for him.

I figured that, but realized there were just so many names. I think in Deathly Hallows that if Hogwarts returns/stays open even in the least, Harry will be traveling a lot. As such, I'd like to think he'd take help, however amount as he may, from some Order members, Lupin included. I think Lupi ...

What does anyone make of Victor Krum? He's supposed to be in Deathly Hallows, and as we know, was from a school with an emphasis on the Dark Arts. At the same time, we saw because of Hermione that he's not a bad guy like Ron had wanted him to be. Wherein lies his side? The Order/Good Side, ...

... I think in Mugglenet.com's What Will Happen in Harry Potter 7, about the possibility of Draco Malfoy becoming a spy in Deathly Hallows for the Order. It argued that Draco would be too cowardly to do this, and would surely die (not that I don't think he's already a goner). Do you think Pett ...

Nope. At least we'll have rereading and Deathly Hallows to entertain us! I can't wait till July. :)

Over on site talk they were just remarking how 300+ people already have Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows listed in their libraries. I think a lot of people list books that they want to read, not just the ones they've read. I've thought about it, but then I wouldn't have the satisfaction of ...

The Deathly Hollows displays 342 copies but on the book info page the first one has 357, and the rest total to more than 450 copies. Soooo, this is still not completely fixed.

I just pre-ordered Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows last week through my library. We're having a release party for the books. And the lady who heads the party warned me... "Justin, if you go on to spoiler sites and tell everyone what happens, I WILL kill you." XD

Is anyone else starting to feel a little sad about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows being the end of it all? Don't get me wrong. I'm dying to find out how it ends up. But the whole Harry Potter thing has been such a HUGE part of the reading experience that I've shared with both of my ...

As of now, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'm very tempted to also preorder White Night, but I want it right then and there. Is it only for HP that Amazon will have a preorder item to us on release day?

... like fiction, I don't think the author has a say in when the book will be released. There's a whole mess of a process that Deathly Hallows has been going through; I sure don't envy the people at Scholastic right now! (Except the people that get to proof the manuscript of course.)
