It includes e.e. cummings' introduction, and strips in chronological order from the very beginning. A useful collection of a great comic strip. ( )An early collection of George Herriman's seminal "Krazy Kat" strip. This strip, featuring mainly the innocent and clueless (sexless, too) naif Krazy Kat, and the malevolent Ignatz Mouse whom (s)he loves unrequitedly, and the intrepid implementer of the law, Offissa Pupp who loves Krazy and seeks to protect her from Ignatz's eternal brick, is almost universally regarded as the greatest comic strip ever to come down the pipe. I would tend to agree, although it is not an easy read, partly owing to its datedness (it hails from the 1920's) and partly its wandering mysticism. It is not a strip I frequently reread for pleasure. Nevertheless, this is a great strip, well worth reading at least once in the comic afficionado's life. This collection includes an introduction by e.e. cummings and many Sunday pages, none in color. no reviews | add a review
