Adventure Scott Pilgrim Gets It Together, the fourth volume in Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim series, begins with Scott, Ramona, and the others having a beach day in full-color with a design reminiscent of Sonic the Hedgehog. The story brings in Lisa, an old crush of Scott’s, though they never dated. While he reconnects with her and struggles to declare his love for Ramona, her ex-girlfriend Roxy appears to fight Scott. Knives continues to pine for Scott, though he continues to make it clear that he is not interested. Knives and Kim even have a momentary bit of fooling around. Knives’ father begins to hunt Scott, revealing that he was the one who defaced Knives’ shrine. Stephen Stills focuses on recording an album, but finds the process difficult. Wallace, Scott’s roommate, insists they must talk to their landlord, leading to the realization that they need to find a new place to live. As a result of Scott’s continued growth, he declares his love for Ramona, earns the Power of Love, and they move in together. Ramona also begins to open up more to Scott, though he gets a glimpse of her dreamspace and a shadowy figure controlling her. Like volume three, this volume includes material from O’Malley’s friends and features the full-color opening scene.
As part of an ongoing series, this volume isn’t as intriguing as some of the others, because its function is to do the job of getting from here to there. Belongs to SeriesScott Pilgrim (4) Awards
Scott Pilgrim's life is fantastic. He's 23 years old, in a rock band, between jobs, and dating a cute high school girl. Everything's awesome until a seriously mind-blowing delivery girl named Ramona Flowers enters his life. No library descriptions found. |
