I've gotten in a bit over my head this week -- I'm in the middle of Sue Miller's The Senator's Wife, Barry Smith's Only Milo, Suzanne Supplee's Artichoke's Heart and Jill Pitkeathley's Cassandra And Jane! One book is for review, and the others I keep grabbing whenever the mood strikes me. I ... ... on non-fiction, but I'm getting into contemporary memoirs lately.
After I finish up that one, it's back to Sue Miller's The Senator's Wife -- I'm about 50 pages in and intrigued, but not totally captivated just yet. ... the same, but I think I'll enjoy it again.

I'm actually getting into The Senator's Wife now.... it's rather good. Started out a little slow but that may have been because I was sooooo sick in the beginning of this long, drawn out "plague" ... I'm still reading two books as well.......The Glass Castle and The Senator's Wife. Now that I am just starting to feel a bit better, I am able to focus better on what I am reading. The Senator's Wife started out boring but it is getting better, in fact, it's good. The Glass Castle has me ... I started The Senator's Wife and found it boring, so put it down and picked up The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. For some reason I'm into memoirs right now. I'm sick as a dog with this bug that's been going around, so I need something that doesn't require much effort.....my brain feels ... ... it will be over with by the first of next week. Now I'll have time to work on taxes. oh boy.
I'm going to give The Senator's Wife a try...I need something just right ~ not too heavy, not too light...something I don't have to "work" at while I am ailing. I hope it's good.
