For generations of my Charleston family this has been the go to cookbook for Southern classics such as red rice and macaroni pie. This copy is my newer one that my mother found for me since my 1950s copy is in horrid shape. ( )

Every collector of Southern food must add this one to the repertoire. This edition, first printed in 1950, showcases Gullah and Lowcountry cuisine as it was originally intended. Just thumbing through the pages takes you back in time. ( )

This isn't just one of those community cook books that one has because one has it. I've used this cook book. The best community cook book I know of. A genuine resource. ( )
