I liked this on better than the first (Spellman Files). Very witty and humous. I really liked the characters and dialoge.

Wonderful -- as much fun as The Spellman Files. ( )

The Spellman schtick is losing its luster. The dysfunctional family that was amusing in the first book and somewhat chucklesome in the second is tiresome in this third volume. The mystery Izzy must solve is overshadowed by Spellman family melodrama, and by story's end, the reader is more apt to slap some sense into every character rather than cheer the resolution of a mildly interesting case. Izzy -- whom I suspect is the alter ego of Lisa Lutz -- needs to grow up and move on. ( )

I liked all the snippets of action and information and such. It made for fun reading. And then, Izzy is funny, though I sometimes felt embarrassed for her. This book made me think about reality and perception - in all its forms throughout this novel. Can't wait to read the next one. ( )

Lisa Lutz writes another fantastically fun novel filled with the fabulous Spellman family. All the family members are back and up to their old investigating tricks in this sequel to The Spellman Files. The plot was fast paced but didn't pack the emotional punch that first book had. I did enjoy the larger role of Henry Stone as Rae's best friend and (possibly?) Izzy's new love interest. Actually, my favorite parts of the novel were Henry, Rae, and Izzy hanging out together because the dialogue between them was hysterical. Overall, a great addition to the Spellman series and I can't wait to read #3. ( )
