Slightly predictable in places, but a good read! I liked how Pierce linked the book more to the previous Tortall books.

Bloodhound is the second book in Tamora Pierce's Beka Cooper series. This is the only series of hers I've read, but if the rest of her books are this calibre I think she's got a new fan. The books are aimed at teen girls, but anybody who enjoys a well written story should have no ... finally got a chance to start and I've jus finished readig Bloodhound (The Legend of Beka Cooper, Book 2) by Tamora Pierce. It was pretty good in following on from the previous book in the series, although it was slightly predicatble in some parts.

Although I enjoyed Bloodhound quite a bit, I was working through some very busy days and only had a little time to read each day so it took me 4 days. I was ready for something quick, and I had picked this book up at Costco a couple of weeks ago. De ... Along with several others here, I have recently finished Bloodhound by Tamora Pierce. This substantial book (534 pages sans appendices) is a sequel to Terrier and continues the story of Beka Cooper, a policewoman (they are called Dogs rather than cops) in Tortall 200 years earlier than the Torta ... I just finished both Bloodhound by Tamora Pierce and Eon:The Dragoneye Reborn by Allison Goodman and loved both, especially for the strong female protagonists.
I thought Bloodhound was even stronger (more deft plotting) than Terrier, and I'm growing to love Beka even more.

I just finished Bloodhound by Tamora Pierce and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The first was awesome, the second cute. #250/251 Sod's Law - my copy of Bloodhound arrived yesterday afternoon when I was due to work the early shift this morning. Oh well, what I lack in sleep, I can make up in coffee....zzzz ... of the books i've read over the last week i shall do it now. Although I have got 4 books to review so here we go.

This is the second book in the Beka Cooper trilogy and it's been a long time coming since its release date got pushed back ... Loved Bloodhound as well. Took me only an evening to read but it was worth the missed sleep. There was lots of fascinating bits of information on counterfeit coins there. ... it out. Easy reading, great for middle school, probably the weakest of the Chrestomanci books for me.
