This book explains the functions of a skeleton (holding you together, protecting squishy organs, producing blood cells, etc.), and also discusses the importance of joints and ligaments. Everything is explained clearly and simply. The book gets extra points because after a picture of a skeleton with common names, there is a picture of it with all the scientific names. (
