The pictures are adorable and the big red dog is very cute and interesting. I think that this book would be a great read in small group reading. ( )Very simple lift-the-flap book. My two-year-old enjoyed reading this one before Easter, but it was by no means a great story nor did it have great art work. The big appeal was the flaps. Clifford the small red puppy valiantly tries to celebrate Halloween with Emily Elizabeth, but he is too small to wear a mask or dress up as a scary ghost, and decides to climb into a pumpkin and turn it into a barking jack-o'-lantern.
