When a rich practical joker is killed, Ghote must find out which of the influential people he tricked hated him enough to kill him. He is saddled with stupidest, most incompetent police sergeant in the world, who is a very funny character. Ghote's droll observations on the rest of the world make this very entertaining. ( )
