Very entertaining & a very good first book. Jenny is mature & intelligent, & the interplay between her & Geof (copper & love interest) is enjoyable. Jenny is an amateur sleuth, & these books would be considered cozy mysteries, but there's nothing twee or cutesy about them as is too often the case these days. Definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series which I have already collected. I'd recommend this as a good read & the first in the series. ( )

Book description
As director of the Port Frederick Civic Foundation, Jenny Cain is privy to the charitable intentions of the town's wealthiest citizens. There's eccentric old Arnie Culverson, who's promised millions to the local art museum. But, he's found, dead, in the museum, in a priceless antique Chinese bed. Then another donor is found dead. And the killer leaves behind a nasty rhyme suggesting rich and beautiful Jenny will be next!
