ShmooComics's review

Pretty humorous read with some hilarious art to match. Definitely fun.

A fun story set in a fairly standard fantasy world, filled with lots of humour and an interesting cast of characters. Nothing too unique thus far -- it could be pretty much any fantasy video game ever written -- but it doesn't need to be a new tale (tail?) to be an entertaining one! ( )

Take elements of Final Fantasy and other popular rpgs, throw in some slapstick humor, and some cute magic wielding chicks and crazed magic wielding dudes and you end up with something akin to this volume. The story concerns a fire wielding and eating wizard raised by a dragon who suffers from chronic motion sickness (the wizard not the dragon), a cat with the ability to occasionally fly, and, most importantly, a sexily drawn young female wizard ingenue worthy of the fantasies of any true geek. The story is fast-paced, chaotic, and fun. The drawing style is similar to One Piece, though a bit more mature. The fictional world (closely resembling europe in geography) is a charming mashup of fantasy, anime, and modern elements.
Overall a great deal of fun. I'm hooked. Kudos. ( )
