I've read A. J. Jacobs's other two books: The Know-it-all where he spent a year reading the encyclopedia from A to Z, and The Year of Living Biblically where he followed the bible as literally as possible for a year (8 months on the old testament and 4 on the new). Life with him would ...

... "hokey", but I was pleasantly surprised on both counts. Interesting you were interested in "OED" as I preferred it to The Know-it-All by A. J. Jacobs (which I'd ripped from library CD's). If I can think of any non-fiction in the near future that I liked, but didn't specifically get ...

... The Guinea Pig Diaries, too (Kittybee mentioned it on her thread), but it would take a lot for Jacobs to top either The Know-It-All or The Year of Living Biblically in my book.

I enjoyed The Know-It-All, and am looking forward to The Guinea Pig Diaries. And I have to say I agree with you, being married to that guy would drive me batty!

... time, maybe if I give up sleep I'll have more time for reading :) I have finally finished another book though, 95. The Know-It-All. I really enjoyed this book and I can reeaaallly relate to his feeling that he had forgotten most of what he learned in school. I just graduated last Decembe ...

I laughed out loud when he was describing how she got back at him by sitting in every chair in the house! I haven't read The Know-It-All yet but it is on my TBR list. I really enjoyed the columns he wrote in MentalFloss magazine that were inspired by The Know-It-All, so I can't wait to get my ...

The Know-It-All: One Man's Humble Quest To Become The Smartest Person In The World - A.J. Jacobs (read 2007)

And, finally, #46 (which I just finished yesterday): The Know-It-All by A.J. Jacobs. This memoir-in-disguise pretends, in a lot of ways, to be a Cliffs Notes version of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, but is more accurately a life-in-facts, a member of that rising club which has recently produced ...

I'm poking around in The Know It All, which is amusing but a little bit strange since it's written in little blurbs like from an encyclopedia. Kind of a little bit hard to pay attention to, really. Also, I just checked out The Global Soul by Pico Iyer, a travel narrative type thing. The ...

Finished 031 - The Know-it-All: One Man's humble Quest to become the Smartest Person in the World by A. J. Jacobs. Loved it, but I'm weird that way.

Finally, a new one. I just finished A. J. Jacobs The Know-it-All and absolutely loved it. It freed my inner geek. I thought I was the only person who ever tried to read an entire encyclopedia. I failed, but he didn't fortunately.

... Country is a great memoir, but I think I liked it even more when I read it because I kept thinking of that interview. The Know-it-All by A.J. Jacobs is another one I first saw on the show, and possibly the funniest book I've ever read. Although I keep loaning it to other people and no one ...
