The Awakening, The Struggle, The Fury, Dark Reunion, and The Return: Nightfall by L.J. Smith **.*
I am going through a 'guilty pleasure' phase, which for me means teen urban fantasy. This series has all the necessities - good vampires, bad vampires, unsuspecting humans, other magic ... ... was just about perfect; everything was resolved satisfactorily if not entirely happily. I didn't find the resolution of Dark Reunion as convincing, but I enjoyed the book anyway. It will be interesting to see what I think of The Return: Nightfall. ... was good, but the ending pissed me off because a favorite character died. And then, much to my delight, the fourth book, Dark Reunion was the best of the bunch! It's a Young Adult series, but very light on the kissy stuff and high on adventure/mystery so all in all quite enjoyable. Also, ... ... your fingers for me!
I have continued reading my trashy, quick read Vampire books: The Vampire Diaries, The Fury and Dark Reunion. It is a rainy, cold day outside and all the leaves are falling. Perfect reading day!

This was a complete let down. I think I started this book as soon as I finised the second installment back in August...and it took me until yesterday to finish. Truthfully, I only pushed to finish this book because I thought it would conclued ... ... However what a sad ending I am curious to find out what happens next therefore going to forge ahead into the next book Dark Reunion ... Awakening **.*

With the hype of Twilight her Vampire Diaries books as well as the Secret Circle books have been published as mini omnibuses. After reading The Initiation and picking up a few others of Smiths books at ... Um, vampires? LOL.
Twilight, Marked, Vampire Academy, reissue of Vampire Diaries etc. etc. etc. etc.
And zombies are trying to be the new vampires. I guess I'd say that's a publishing trend at this point - not sure if it will catch on with the teens or not. Zombies just aren't as ... ... The Last Olympian, and Dead and Gone, both came out TODAY so I'm uber excited to tear into them!!! I also got the new Vampire Diaries today, which I also want to read. Oh no! its that thing again. One girl, two brains and too many books. ...
