Work detailsMrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O'Brien (1971)
Several years ago, we were going on a trip so I picked this up at the library on audio for my daughters. As the trip progressed, I found myself falling in love with this book. Since then, I have been through it two more times. Simply put, this is one of my favorite books of any genre. It is simply wonderful. I may have to read it again next year. ( )This book is about a mother rat who must save her family by turning to the help of a strange group of rats that she knows nothing about. This book is a good book to learn about trust, acceptance, and teamwork. Sometimes you have to put aside your personal differences to work together with someone to achieve a bigger goal. And who knows, by doing that you might learn that they really weren't so different from you to begin with. Another childhood favorite I've read many many times. Old Children's Book. Liked it as a kid, but haven't read it in years. Cute, if suffering from plot holes and a rather unforgivable approval of animal experimentation. And male-as-default syndrome. no reviews | add a review Has the adaptation
