... #161.....well, I finally finished Change of Heart. The whole book was very strange. Not her best work, that's for sure. I think the author is so well known for writing incredibly thought provoking stories.... but went just a little (okay, alot) overboard on this one.....trying too hard, maybe, ... Booksloth.....just wanted to let you know, I think you're right about Jodi Picoult's Change of Heart. I'm about 2/3rds the way through it, and it is just plain weird. So unlike her other books, which I've found to be thought-provoking, heart wrenching & powerful. This one is really odd, and I'l ... ... I don't want to discourage you but I have to say that, although on the whole I really enjoy Picoult's books, I thought Change of Heart was terrible. I'll be interested to hear what you think of it. ... and great characters.

I also have Change of Heart, Harvesting the Heart, Mercy and Salem Falls on my shelf in my tbr pile. Would anyone care to suggest which one I should read next? I just finished Change of Heart which was the choice for my book club this time. I had read it before but wanted it to be fresh in my mind. I still enjoyed it the second time. I like Jodi Picoult's books even though they don't require too much hard thinking.

I am reading Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult and Phony: How I Faked My Way Through Life by Andrea Stanfield. Great review of Handle with Care. I may skip that one. Perhaps she is starting to write too fast. It seems like Change of Heart just came out and all of a sudden there is a new book. Also, I know she has assistants who do a lot of her research now, so maybe she is more removed from the ... No, I haven't read it yet. I still have Change of Heart, Harvesting the Heart, Mercy, and Salem Falls in my tbr pile, so I couldn't justify getting a hardcover of Handle with Care. I do have it on my bookmooch wishlist though in case I get miraculously lucky!

#13 - bookaholicgirl - I felt the same way about Change of Heart - a good book but predictable. 29. Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult - good but definitely not my favorite of hers. While I found it entertaining and enjoyable, there really weren't any surprises in it and I could see everything coming from pretty much the first page. Still, if you are a Picoult fan I think you will like ... I just finished Change of Heart, the new Jodi Picoult, last night. While I did enjoy it, I can't say that it really held any surprises either in the ending nor in the basic plot. Still, it was enjoyable. I have just started When We Were Orphans and am only one chapter into it but am enjoying ... ... Snow Flower and the Secret Fan the other day along with The Innocent by Harlan Coben and am currently reading Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. There is much more of a religious bent to this Picoult novel but I am enjoying it so far. I absolutely loved Snow Flower and, while I ... ... books at a time, I get a look like I just grew horns and started talking backwards.
Right now, I am currently reading:

I finished change of heart a few weeks ago. I thought was pretty good. Definitely not one of her best but I still enjoyed it. I found the premise interesting and religious aspect got me thinking. I just didn't ever feel as connected to the characters as I did in some of the others. Also, it kept ... ... think the only ones I haven't read are plain truth, salem falls and songs of the humpback whale. I recently finished Change of Heart and thought that it was pretty good but no where near the best. I am reading Harvesting the heart now. ... track of what I've read (although not specifically for this).
