Eh. I'm not a big fan of short story collections. Across the Wall is similiar, filled with a hodgepdge of stories, some good, some not so good. I think my favorite is the first one, Across the Wall. The previous adventures of Nicholas Sayre leave him not fitting in with his world. ( )

A collection of short stories, including one that serves as a sequel to Abhorsen. A well balanced collection and a fast read. ( )

This series is beautifully written and the characters are deeply compelling. There is definitely a dark element to these books but it is written in such a way that it is not overly disturbing. Despite the fantastical elements I find the characters to be extremely believable. ( )

Hope Chest is my fav Garth Nix short story so I was so glad to see it here but really, needs more Old Kingdom. ( )

A fun addition to the Abhorsen trilogy. The main attraction here is the story "Nicholas Sayre and the Creature in the Case", but many of the other stories are good as well. ( )
