... the Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix. There is also a book with at least on short story set in the same world, entitled Across the Wall. They are excellent books.

I really enjoyed the Abhorsen trilogy. I liked Sabriel the best. I also read Across the Wall which is a companion book to the trilogy.

I'm getting another ER book - Yay! Stupid American History or something like that (no touchstone yet). I also finished Across the Wall last night. It was a great collection of Garth Nix's short stories. I am glad a friend here recommended it. I'll probably read the penultimate part of AK ...

... I am a recent convert of the Abhorsen Trilogy and loved it! My partner already owns all three books plus the extra book, Across the Wall, but I loved it so much I am having difficulty keeping myself from buying my own copies. Preferably in trade paperbacks... with whiter paper. And nicer font. ...

Finished Part Six of AK - only 200 more pages to go. I picked up Across the Wall and Murder Walks the Plank at the library this afternoon, where we headed once the snow stopped falling. I also put Greater than the Sum, A Star Trek novel n my table. These should keep me for a while.

Across the Wall came AFTER the trilogy, and is a book of short stories rather than a full length novel in the style of the others.

... a try after I've gotten through the Abhorsen trilogy. By the way, why is it called a trilogy if there is a fourth book, Across the Wall, in the series? #80 allthesedarnbooks: I put Virgin Territory on my BookMooch wishlist, because it will probably take a while for it to show up. Let me ...

thanks to #176 - I had noticed Across the Wall in the Nix titles on Amazon and was intrigued and was wondering if he had started anything new with these characters.

>164 koalamom - If you liked the Abhorsen trilogy, I'd definitely recommend picking up Nix's Across the Wall. It's a short story collection, but the first is more of a novella featuring Nicholas Sayre. The rest of the stories are good reads, as well.

80F.) Across the Wall by Garth Nix Short stories by Garth Nix; loved it. Not all of the stories were great, but it is always fun to read stuff by an author you love that is a little...different from the usual stuff. My favorite one by far was a really silly "choose your own adventure" ...

... I bought him. Magyk, Flyte and Physik the first 3 Septimus Heap books by Angie Sage and Sabriel, Abhorsen and Across the Wall by Garth Nix, no Lirael because they didn't have it, but it was 3 for 2. I would have gotten the Bartemius Trilogy too but they only had the third book. ...

I've finished Across the Wall: A Tale of the Abhorsen and Other Stories, and my review is here. It's one of the more consistently enjoyable short story collections I've read (even the stories I didn't like as much were not unenjoyable), and lilyfyrestorm, I think ...

... It was pretty decent. fyrefly98, I have read the Abhorsen Trilogy, and I see that you have too. I didn't know that Across the Wall existed until I saw it in your library, and now I have to have it! I'd like to know what you think of it, too. Whoever chooses for me, please use my tag ...
