This book had promise at the beginning, but ended up turning into a sexual free-for-all (with every type of pairing imaginable) which didn't feel consistent with the characters' development. The erotic scenes were hot and generally well-written (although at times it was difficult to figure out exactly who was where). ( )Okay, so lots of people I know love Emma Holly and constantly recommend her to me. But everytime I read her books, I don't like them. This one was different. I did like it. I even liked the sex (quite hot, but odd clinical moments, and sometimes I have to stop to figure out what they are actually doing) But then, at the end, she does something which I find totally negates the heroines character and is so ridiculous this becomes a wall banger for me. So, read 90% and then put it down? I guess me and Emma Holly are never going to work. Nice descriptions of Cape Cod, nice sense of place (which many erotic novels don't have) Nice characterisations, (until the craziness at the end) But didn't work for me. no reviews | add a review
