Man And His Symbols - Carl Jung ... God when he was never meant to fit in one shoebox.
The only other "self-help" book I ever took seriously was Man and his Symbols by Jung and Co., and somehow I think my dreams/visions are more reliable as a source of information than say, Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus ... ... several books for which I think the logical cataloging method would be to enter an editor and a list of contributors. e.g. Man and his Symbols, The Skywatcher's Handbook and On the Shoulders of Giants: The Great Works of Physics and Astronomy.
This might also be suitable for fiction ... ... by Gwen Harwood, and The Call of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft for school study. I hate my HSC life!
Wish I was reading:

Reading Man and his Symbols by Carl Jung. Very, very interesting. Neil Gaiman makes a whole lot more sense after starting to read this. Yet nobody seems to be reading this these days... The Earth Has A Soul: The Nature Writings Of C. G. Jung - C.G. Jung

The shop I visited didn't have Man and His Symbols by Carl Jung, as someone bought it, which I wanted, but a first edition Rushdie is a pretty good find. ... Prada by Lauren Weisberger

Mao:The Untold Story by Jung Chang
Skinhead Street Gangs by Loren Christensen If you're truly looking for an *introduction*, the last book Jung put out before his death was Man and His Symbols, intended to be an overview of his ideas for a layperson audience.
