53 Death Note, volume 1
Got this for two reasons, a friend has been bugging me to read it for ages, and it was recommended in a panel I went to @ Kumoricon called "Religion in Anime & Manga." I'm probably not going to continue collecting/reading all of the series I bought at Kumoricon, but ... ... by J. D. Warren ~ I'm so excited to get this! I've been dying to read the sequel to Bedlam, Bath, and Beyond.
Death Note volume one by Tsugumi Ohba, another new manga for me to discover.
Finding Oz by Evan Schwartz. I've been so eager to read this since seeing it in Shelf Awar ... ... read in the original. However, considering that your reading interests are pretty close to mine, I would highly recommend Deathnote and MW - they are both thoroughly enjoyable, dark and psychological. Hope that helps. >65: It's sitting on my shelf, kiwidoc. :-) It was another one for that same 999 category, along with Tunstall's Note by Note and Noah Adams' Piano Lessons.
ETA: Gould is one of my favorite Bach performers...perhaps second after Hewitt of those to whom I've listened. I'm thinking I'll ... More Supernatural in Manga

#31.5: Death note, vol 1 by Tsugumi Ohba. I could really get into this manga. "I've got the Death Note, see?"
Death Note Volume 1
"What's better, having a small fire in the house or getting the death penalty? Huh?" ... for YA novels. Good manga I've read this month includes Hikaru no Go Volume 1 by Yumi Hotta (actually volumes 1-11), Death Note Volume 1 by Tsugumi Ohba, Beauty Pop Volume 1 by Kiyoko Arai, Vampire Knight Volume 3 by Matsuri Hino and Vampire Knight Volume 4. Pretty much ... ... They are a bit more horror centered, but not gore horror.

I did a quiz online - "Which science-fiction author are you?". It ... I thoroughly enjoyed Prep and am loving the Death Note manga series. ... at a time... ^.^
Other than that, I'm reading Sakende Yaruze (shounen-ai & yaoi isn't forbidden here right? 9.9"), Death Note (I've yet to finish it), Angel Sanctuary (i've yet to finish it too... when I stopped I was crying and I haven't started again... T.T), and Kagen no Tsuki by ... Akira
I have started on 20th Century Boys, and looks promising. Same with Death Note. I haven't read a lot, but Death Note would certainly fit in there ... 4, and am getting ready to start Nodame Cantabile Volume 6.
I am currently keeping up with:
Nodame Cantabile
Death Note
Robot (art book/color manga) by Range Murata
And still need to pick up FLCL Volume 2.
Anyone looking for a great new manga to pick up? I *highly* ... My most recently read manga was Princess Tutu.
I am currently reading series like, Death note, Hana-kimi, Ouran High School Host Club, Hellsing and Vampire Game. There are probably more I am forgetting as well. Current favorites: Berserk, Bleach, Death Note, Evangelion, Eyeshield 21, Hellsing, Monster (Naoki Urasawa's), Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun Maximum.
If I had to pick just one, it would be Death Note. I'm loving Death Note at the moment. I just bought the first Blade of the Immortal; I hope it's good! ... really pushing yaoi titles. With a limited budget I would rather see them order FullMetal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, and Death Note. However if there are any stellar yaoi titles out there, I wish to be aware of them, even if it doesn't suit my particular taste.
Hi Everyone!! I'm just joining up this morning as well! I'm currently reading:
Azumanga Daioh
Death Note
and
Nodame Cantabile
