Very intense explicit gay romance, with artist Thomas and gallery owner Marcus. Thomas flees the relationship when his father dies and then his brother is in accident. It's about love and trust and hot sex. The BDSM stuff was a little too intense for me (seems like an awful lot of pain) but the relationship stuff rang true. Thomas is very attached to his family who don't approve of his life style and the book is about his struggle to integrate the two. Initially he sees it as all or nothing in either camp (either gay in new york, or straight on the farm) but gradually his perspective changes. A moving and intense book, a keeper. ( )
