A group of space travellers are stranded on a strange, primitive planet! Only the strange, primitive planet is medieval France!

This comic does something very clever: I adore stories where space or time travel is used to point out just how strange Earth culture can be when seen from the outside. By combining space travel with a historical story, though, she manages to have the reader identify with the aliens for being from a technological culture - and indentify with the humans, for being very, very human. And one of the things she does best is keep the medieval characters and places very historically based while still making them more similar to us than different, by keeping the main concern of the story on the level of human relationships.

Also the art is cute, and the strips are funny and clever at once. ( )

Book description
Once upon a time, long ago in a faraway land, a spaceship landed on Earth. The occupants were on the run from the interstellar mafia and looking for a place to refuel their ship - and maybe lie low for a while. What they got was this grubby, misogynistic little steel-age world where the beer's always warm, there are too many eels, and people think a good time is watching two guys in metal exoskeletons hit each other with sticks. You take what you can get.
