I found it an easy read and I did sort of enjoy it but I had higher hopes for it. There wasn't that much on films in there really - the father talked about them but I didn't feel that the film club really played that much of a part in the son's ... ... in the mouse's fate. Its a simple enough story but beautifully told. I was almost in tears on the train reading it.
