She is so in love with them, she plans an exquisite butterfly party with her best friend bree. She then finds out that she can no longer attend the party because of her grandparent’s anniversary. She becomes very upset about it and gives her mom an attitude up until they get to her grandparent’s party. She then begins to lighten up because she starts to have a lot of fun with her grandparents. They then visited a butterfly zoo and she becomes very happy that she went. This is a sweet book for children who love French culture, butterflies, and parties. Nancy has to forgo her friend's butterfly themed birthday party so as to attend her grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary party. But she ends up having plenty of fun at the fancy party! This story teaches a lesson on having to do something that you may not want to. Includes plenty of opportunities to improve vocabulary. no reviews | add a review

In this story, Nancy is invited to a friend's butterfly birthday party and is so excited. However, her mother says she can't attend as that is the same day as her Grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary in another town. Nancy is furious, scowls, and sulks, but does forget to be mad as the anniversary party is so, well, fancy! She loves every minute of it and apologizes to her mother for being so mad. ( )
