Perfect for reading with toddlerse and preschoolers. Super cute, super colorful, pro siblings, and pro family. ( )

Book! shows a little boy's love for reading. He receives a book as a gift and realizes all the different things that he can do with the book. The poem was short and sweet. This would be great for children who are just being introduced to reading because it shows excitement and love towards reading. ( )

I was in the stacks looking for It's A Book by Lane Smith and found this - another charming (though more sweet and earnest than goofy) book about books. Told in simple rhyming prose with bright colored backgrounds, it's the story of a child receiving a book and all the things he can do with it ("I can turn your pages by myself...I can put you on my shelf"). Simple, rhyming text accompanies fun illustrations showing all the ways one little boy enjoys his new book. A great read-aloud for preschool story time. ( )
