Ben's parents are away in Africa, so he has the responsibility of looking after all the big cats on his family's preserve. He isn't really worried until someone starts killing off the cats using a high powered rifle. First two lions, Helen and Daisy, also known as The Sisters, are shot. Next, their house cheetah, Rachel, is shot in the early morning when she ventures outside for her morning run. Ben tries to get in touch with his parents, but they can't be reached. He's starting to get really worried, and isn't positive that he'll be able to protect the rest of the cats. ( )

Suddenly the silence of the night is broken by screaming peacocks. Someone is out there. Someone with a score to settle. And tonight is only the beginning...
