Jan Stegger wordt naar Dubai gestuurd om te achterhalen wat de oorzaak is van de plotseling enorme omzetdaling bij de Nederlands-Arabische joint-venture Daretco. Kort nadat Stegger arriveet, blijkt het kantoor van Daretco te zijn opgedoekt.
