Der Standpunkt des Autors widerspricht heutigen Versprechungen was die Spracherkennung anbelangt: er vertritt die These, dass eine Maschine niemals die Menschen genügend (sprich menschlich) versteht und ermutigt IVR Designer, als Ziel eine "gute Maschine" statt eines "schlechten Menschen" zu bauen.
Gespickt mit flankierendem Wissen und unterhaltsamen Geschichten ist das Werk trotz seiner thematischen Schwierigkeit sehr spannend zu lesen.
Wers schnell und oberflächlich haben will soll vor allem den 3. Akt lesen, wird dann aber bei den Referenzen auf frühere Stories seine Mühe haben. ( )
