the visuals of this book is enough to recommend it to anybody. Each page is a detailed drawing of the wildlife in the Amazon and the page starts off with the sentence "on the banks of the amazon" and takes off into a little slice of the life on the banks of the Amazon. An example of this is on page 30 when the author goes " on the banks of the amazon, fog arises on a new day in the emerald world." Nancy Allen really loves the life of the Amazon because she uses a lot of adjectives and descriptions to tell the reader what is going on exactly at that moment of the book. She is a great writer and you can tell she really loves the Amazon! ( )
