This book was a gift from a family member to my son. We have read it many times, but each time I discover something different on the pages. I really like how the author uses alliteration and rhyming words to keep the reader engaged. The illustrations are great! However, the story is a bit confusing. Although, the author used rhyming words, the story did not seem to flow. I really enjoy the fact that the young boy is spending time with his grandfather and setting off on a swashbuckling adventure. It gives a true sense of family and what it means to have loved ones that will stick by your side no matter what the adventure. ( )
