Vrijheid en liefde, dat is het waar in deze kleine roman van Grøhndal om draait. Aan de ene kant is er de reis door Europa die de Amerikaan Scott in de jaren ’60 maakt. Als hij opgeroepen wordt door het Amerikaanse leger om naar Vietnam te worden gestuurd, kiest hij voor zijn persoonlijke vrijheid: hij trouwt met een Deense vrouw.

Il y a trop d'histoires pour si peu d'hommes ..ou bien chaque homme contient mille histoires possibles en lui? Et qu'arrive-t-il à toutes les histoires qui n'ont pas existé? Combien d'histoires contradictoires peut-on raconter sur la même personne? Et puis il y a toutes les histoires qui devaient être perdues afin qu'une seule parvienne à se déployer.

Une personne, ayant grandi pendant les années de dictature Roumaine, est fascinée par la liberté, qu'elle trouvera au prix de son identité.
