Both myself and my husband are big fans of the Battlestar Galactica TV series (both old and the new imagined), and we are always interested in reading books, graphic novels and comics related to the sci-Fi series. It is always interesting to read stories, which were not within the TV series. This graphic novel, is a very good story line, any Battlestar Galactica fan would love it. It is a story that is embedded within the middle series 2 of the new imagined TV series, after the return from Kobol and before the arrival of the Pegasus. The story in my view is a stand alone from the TV series, because to the best of my knowledge, no mention of such a story was spoke about through the running of the TV series, the story is fresh, although it perfectly slots into the over-all theme of things, in a style that I like, because the Battlestar Galactica universe is endless, and endless stories could be told. The story introduces Zak (the dead son) of Adama, along with a group of other humans, it turns out to be a cylon trick of sorts. Plus ongoing problems and issues with the violent group known as “Earth Protectorate”. The story is very imaginative, and a great addition to the TV series, the graphics inside the novel are immense and strongly resemble the actually characters in the TV series. Within the graphic novels pages are superb comic covers and pictures, plus a commentary with Greg Pak, and a Nick Raynor Sketchbook. In conclusion a superb book, and I strongly recommend that any Battlestar Galactica fans out there who love graphic novels and comics, get themselves a copy of this novel, they love it. Cannot think of 1 negative thing to say about this novel. Perfect! Here in the UK, there is a strong fan base for Battlestar Galactica related items, despite there novels being harder to find in shops than many other well established Sci-Fi shows. ( )
