... store. Forget the title, but my high school brain was like, "Whoa! This is cool!" Time to dig out my copy of The Centaur and Couples. My dad read the "Rabbit" books.

Author John Updike has died at age 75 after battling lung cancer. I only read a few of his books, The Centaur and The Witches of Eastwick being among them, but he was a pillar of the American Literature scene for several generation. Rest in peace, John.

... are so much more sophisticated due to the life-long visual grammar lesson that is television (before that, movies). The Centaur sounds ghastly to me, so I won't likely be picking it up...though I think the hypothesis, so reminiscent of the Gaia Hypothesis, sounds pretty solid. Then ...

Aruba - I wasn't a huge fan of it. If I hadn't read The Centaur first, I'd probably move further Updike books to the bottom of the list. It wasn't horrible, but there are so many more books to read!
