More of a how-to book for the specific pattern styles suggested than an overall guide on how to expand your range as a spinner into more creative areas. It has a lot of how-to information on the basics, but that wasn't the point of buying the book. The point of buying the book was to learn more about creative spinning. Less basics and more generalized advanced technique would have been more useful. ( )
