A dull little book about the changing nature of scholarly connectivity in "the digital age," the challenges facing digital archives and libraries, and the obscurities of ownership and distribution of digital materials. The book is to the point and well cited, but I found it repetitive in places, and, as many such works do, it raised a lot of issues without really proposing solutions. Useful but dull, 2 1/2 stars. I'd like to give this a more thorough read in the future. in my blog: http://bdig.blogspot.com/2008/10/per-...
"The main value of the book might be seen in drawing on multiple resources, providing a 'big picture' of opportunities, challenges, underlying contexts of information infrastructure for digital scholarship."
