Snow White does have an awful voice. It seemed to help in the categories if you were a very old movie or a relatively new movie.
Aladdin and Little Mermaid were just as good ... The Crystal Star by Vonda McIntyre I would think any Tom Clancy, Stephen King,
Clive Barker, Anne Rice, Star Wars,Tolkien, etc.would be suitable for HIgh School aged boys. I think it would be very hard to find good thriller books without graphic sex or violence. I would think High School boys would be used to reading ... ...

See, all is not lost. My first science fiction read was Star Wars. After seeing the film I just had to have the book . I`ve still got it hanging around somewhere .
Strangely , although I am a Star Trek fan, the books have never appealled to me .
