Learning French anywhere outside of Quebec (even to an advanced level) will not sufficiently prepare you to understand this particular dialect.

Enter "Speak Québec!" which does a fair job in giving a rundown of the various (and often humourous) informal expressions and slang that are abundant in everyday speech. The author also highlights some of the pronunciation differences between Quebec and European French, but the list is far from complete.

Be aware that there are quite a few spelling and grammatical errors that slipped past the editors, which may confound readers with no prior knowledge of the language.
