My son loves this book--Skippyjon is one naughty kitty-boy.

Skippyjon Jones is learning his number and the reader gets to learn along with him. Students will learn to practice counting up to 10 in this fun and silly book. Skippyjon Jones is a silly character in a series of books that children will enjoy reading about. Skippyjon jones is a lovable character that young children will be anxious to read about.

Genre critique: This is an informational book. It's a beginning counting book for young children. It's a good information book because the number is clear and there is a picture attached that shows an example. Young children will be able to point and count the number of objects on each page.

I am such a fan of the Skippyjohn books for slightly older children so I bought this as a present for a friend who is pregnant. Quite a cute little book - obviously simple, since it is intended for babies and very young children, but fun. ( )
