Loading... Happiness is a Choice (1988)by Frank B. Minirth
None. This book seemed to be written more for a psychiatrist or psychologist rather than for the layperson, but it had some interesting points and was not too technical. It was interesting how the authors associated "happiness" specifically with depression; in other words, from their perspective they seemed to have the idea that a lack of happiness equalled a depressed person (or depression). Good (not great) book for the one struggling with depression. I would recommend Tim LaHaye's book, Depression, as a better book for the layperson. ( )I thought this was a great book for providing some practical and hopeful advice as regards depression. I appreciated the theological and psychological integration. From back cover "Beyond descriptions of depression and its causes, symptoms, and treatments, Meier and Minirth offer basic steps and guidelines for recoverin and sustaining a happy, fulfilling and meaningful life." no reviews | add a review
