This great story is about finding understanding for other people! I love teaching this book because the lessons that come from it are so valuable! You will be captured by the conversation between the boy and the little ant! The illustrations are great! ( )

Throughout this story a little ant is pleading for his life as a young boy threatens to step on him. The ant tries to persuade the boy that even though he may seem small and insignificant to him, he is important to his ant friends. "Hey, Little Ant," is a powerful book about empathy. I love how this book gives readers the perspective of both characters throughout the story and how these perspectives opens the readers eyes to people who may seem different to them. ( )

This book invites a child to imagine themselves in the place of an ant. Empathy and compassion are illustrated as a young boy realizes that if he were an ant, he wouldn't want to be squished by a child. ( )

This book is a fantacy fiction which talked about the story between a boy and an ant. The boy debated with the ant about whether he will squish or not, the ant let him to change the stand, sounds like if boy is little while ant is giant what this boy will want ant do, squish him or not? it leads a right outlook for kids which refers to every on should take responsibility to protect animals no matter big or small. This book is quite interesting and meaningful which is appropriate for elementary school students. ( )
