When Roni and Brian both wound up taking a Regional Studies course during the summer neither of them expected it to lead to anything so exciting as the mystery of the crazy archeologist.

As with Snatched I really enjoyed the story up until the end when the actions of our heroes started to outweigh any sort of logical thinking, even taking their adventurousness into account. However, this is basically a very enjoyable book with an interesting mystery at the heart of it. I think that kids (or adults) who enjoy the Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys type stories would like these Bloodwater Mysteries as well. ( )

In this second mystery, Roni and Brian, while on a field trip, stumble upon Dr. Andrew Dart lying in a cave. Dr. Dart is trying to save the land from being developed by the Bloodwaters by proving that it's an Indain burial ground, but someone doesn't want him to succeed. Roni and Brian take on his cause, although Roni is a little biased when she sees how goodlooking Eric Bloodwater is! A fun, quick, light read. ( )
