Come out, come out, where ever you are ,,, is the main theme to this insider, gossiping, quote filled book about Broadway. It's an easy breezy read filled with what's what, who's out and who's not, in the world of Broadway. Lot's of early history with facts and figures you probably never new about Broadway. It's filled with quotes (whole chapters of them) that exude lots of insider gossip you've never seen compiled in one place. It's got more than you want to know about Hello Dolly and Carol Channing and more details about Gypsy and Ethel Merman than anyone should know. That said, every self respecting Broadway devotee will want to skim this one. Make a bee line to your local library to get it. Any lover of Broadway and theatre history will want to read this book. Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0823088308, Hardcover)

The first book of theater celebrity gossip, can you believe it? Here's the book that airs Broadway's dirty laundry! Inspired by the classic Hollywood Babylon (in print for more than forty years, more than 100,000 copies sold), Broadway Babylon presents a hyper-entertaining look at the Great White Way's biggest scandals, best-kept secrets, and most over-the-top feuds. Author Boze Hadleigh, the preeminent disher of celebrity dish, serves up 400 pages of tasty, never-before-told stories about such show-biz icons as Ethel Merman, Tennessee Williams, Lucille Ball, Bette Davis, and many, many others. Get it while it's hot!
