Another nonfiction! I borrowed this from a friend, not a huge interest for me, but it was a quick read, which is nice. Since I don't own it, I'll post my full review of it here.

I had mixed feelings about this book. I only read it because a friend loaned it to me, but I did ask her about it because ... I'd just started a diet when I first saw Skinny Bitch on a display table in a bookstore. I thought it was a spoof and might be fun to read while I tried to shed some pounds.
When I discovered it was, indeed, serious--and vegan besides--I dropped it on the table like it was on fire.

beatles1964 #56 - Skinny Bitch by Rory Freedman, 224 pages. I'm not entirely sure how the authors are qualified to write such a book nor do I agree with them pushing veganism. However, the book was definitely a wake-up call! 1. An Uncommon Reader by Alan Bennet

War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy Sales for the diet book Skinny Bitch by Kim Barnouin were apparently slow until it was spotted by the papparazzi being carried by Posh Spice aka Victoria Beckham. After that sales apparently took off. ... formula, I am not sure I want to read them, even though they are well-told, but this one was definitely enjoyable.

I've been reading so much serious nutrition stuff this last month that I was looking for a fun read when I picked up Skinny Bitch, but it was so often mean-spirited that I didn't enjoy it much. I'm the sort of geek who prefers Jerry Seinfeld to Dennis Leary.
