This book is a great way to combine math and reading. The pictures are fun and let the reader see the words and numbers clearly. As more animals are added the pages fill with more numbers and animals. The early reader can see the animals and words on the page and may guess the words correctly because of the pictures. As a teacher, I sometimes forget to include reading during math but this book can easily be added to a lesson since it's fun and the illustrations are captivating. This book can be reading during ELA since the repetition lets an early reader practice their reading skills. ( )
