Loading... Hudson Taylor: God's Venturerby Phyllis Thompson
None. My full attention was grabbed on the first page. I was thrilled with the account of how Hudson trusted God with his last half crown and how that trusting prepared him to relie on God for even greater things. This little book reads in about one and a half hours and gives us a glimpes into the most important parts of Hudson's mission into China. I enjoyed reading how Hudson fit himself into the culture, (he wore a ponytail and dressed as they did) and the discriptions of the life of the Chinese along the Yangtze river. I was made to desire an increasing thirst for God and for what he can do in my life if I would trust Him. This is a good starter book for those who want to learn just the basics of how the China Inland Mission began or to wet the appitite for more indepth reading on Hudson Taylor's life. ( )Book about a Hudson Taylor, a missionary to China. Very small book, quick read. It was interesting but I wish there had been a little more info on his time in China. no reviews | add a review
