I thought it was possible, given a lot of luck , to get a "used" copy of the Cerf edition, or else another publisher's Taschen-esquely priced reissue of that book, for 20 bucks. This however is a crappy little 40 page piece of overpriced crap published by Allia masquerading online as the full wonderful Cerf volume. Notice how the description on Amazon doesn't give a page count? It is like a little sudoku or horoscope book you see in the check-out line at the grocery store. BAD!! (

This slim volume (64 pages in the 2003 edition from Allia, or 61 pages in the 2007 edition from L'Herne) should not be confused with another book with the exact same title published by Cerf, but with the subtitle 'le livre des passages'. The latter is actually the 1000-page French translation of The Arcades Project (Passagen-Werk) published in 1990, and and has already been combined several times with The Arcades Project. This work is only a small 60-page extract.
