Although it's been a while since I've read a Dresden Files book, I had no problems getting back in the magical world of Harry Dresden. I enjoyed all the twists and surprises, and I liked Harry learning about different types of shape shifting. I look forward to reading the next Dresden Files book, Grave Peril. ( )

Fool Moon has Harry face off against a group of werewolves. It's extremely fast-paced, with nearly non-stop action (and Harry getting horribly beat up every few pages), rather than the more plodding detective work of the previous novel. Butcher's description of Harry's different mental states as the various potions and magical trinkets work on him are so vivid, and it makes Harry very relateable, despite his tendencies to martyrdom every chapter or so, especially when Murphy's involved. I loved the TV series first...Paul Blackthorne makes a great Harry and I love Terrance Mann (great singing voice, btw) as Bob!! But I'm finding that I really enjoy the books as well. I find that the adaption for the tv series is done well, tweaking things to make it more hip and not so complex - fun to watch and highly entertaining - and the book has the depth of background (that may one day be developed in the show).

Their both great on their own, but together they are fabulous!!

I highly recommend them both ;-p

Could a werewolf be loose in Chicago? Common sense says no. The grisly evidence says yes. So does Harry Dresden. And with his weird connections, he should know....
